guinea hens

i swear i wasn't so light-headed from the stench of cleaning out the chicken coop today that i was hallucinating, but i SWEAR the guinea hens kept changing color before my eyes.....much like a chameleon.  am i crazy, or do they really do this?

It's all in the way the feathers catch the light.  Some chickens are the same way- they can look black in one sort of light, but green or reddish in another sort of light.
