There is a real possibility that with 12-18 inches of snow on the way, a midwife over an hour away, and a 5.5 hour prior labor, that the baby may show up before my birth team!

The birth tub is all set up for my HBA-HBAC.  I woke up to mild irregular cramping and bloody show.  (A little stronger than when the same thing happened last thursday.)  So .... the baby may come in a couple days... or a couple weeks.

Any advice for the "just in case" scenario?  What's the minimum I need to know?

wow--- how exciting mamma!  Most of the time, babies just come out.... mom's birth them... no problem.  chances are good you won't need to suction the nose... you don't need to clamp a cord before cutting it since it shouldn't be pulsing when it's cut anyhow.....  the minimum you need to know is relax and enjoy the process.  birthing is a beautiful, blessed experience and doing it unimpeded is empowering and amazing!  Much love to you!
