concerned about a dark spot and hard lump near 18 mo old's vagina

This morning my 18 mo old DD had a poop that was *everywhere*. When I cleaned her up, she was crying and pulling her legs away. I looked carefully and saw a small dark spot very near her vaginal opening. I gently touched it, and there's a small hard lump beneath the skin under the dark spot. I am trying not to be worried. Any idea what this could be?

could it be a mole?

I would have her checked out by the Pedi to be sure it's not anything serious

Could it be a blood blister?  Maybe she was touching/pinching etc and gave herself a blister????  I would also get it checked out.

No, not a mole. The dark spot is pretty small. I had to look hard to see it, and thought it was something to be wiped away, but no.  The bump is under her skin and hard to the touch. So weird. I can kind of see it swelling up the area a little. It's hard because she won't let me anywhere near it.  :(  I am really worried! We're going to get her checked, but her ped cancelled her (routine) appt that we had for today, and we're thinking of going with another ped anyway, so we've been researching. 

Do you think it's something that can wait a few days, or a same-day/emergency kind of appt?
