Crying at the drop of a hat - normal?

I guess being emotional & crying at the drop of a hat isn't that unusual?

Work is stressing me out a bit lately, but otherwise life is good. Really nothing bad going on!

I'm 31 W & physically my lower back is sore a bit, more tired than I was with my PG with DS, but overall OK physically too.

BUT I AM SO EMOTIONAL! Oh my goodness. This is NOT like me. & it's so tedious. Ugh.

Yep, normal, but I also find it very annoying. I am not an emotional person and bawling because I can't decide what to cook for dinner or because some sappy ad came on is something I only do when pg. Thank goodness!

LOL, SO glad to read your post.

I nearly lost it yesterday because I HAD decided what to cook for dinner, but the grocery store had neither kale nor fresh rosemary for my minestrone soup. Then a song that usually makes me emotional anyway came on and I DID lose it driving home. I sat in the garage continuing to cry until the song ended.

Ay yi yi, I'm looking forward to getting myself back!

Yes. Very normal. I cry at the drop of a hat all through my pregnancies. I cried watching Lord of the Rings (which I've seen about 20 thousand times) and not during any of the actual sad scenes, but at the BATTLE scenes because they were *sniff* SO *sniffle* BRAVE. *sob*

So it's not just you. =P

You ready for this one...? I'm 27 weeks....watching Americas Funniest Videos last night...yup. I kid you not. Cant remember exactly what it was, but it had something to do with a child. I was doing that 'tearing up, about ready to sob, but you involuntarily breath in really fast a few times to NOT cry' thingy. Amazing isn't it?

You know what my DH tried telling me the other day??? I warned him that I'm about to get to that crying at the drop if the hat point in my pg. Now, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt...he's been exhausted the past few days...and he's usually NEVEr this rude....he said "you need to control that"..............................um...heh? I told him the conversation was over, it wasn't worth continuing. Pick your battles right? Lol

I remember being in the last couple weeks stretch and just sitting on the edge of the bed SOBBING bc I was DONE. DH would come over and just hold me...or rub my head. He felt so bad bc there was nothing he could do. Poor DH's!

I cried tonight while reading a very basic book about MLK to my son. Yep, the hormones control us.
