Ok, so I'm dealing with Diaper Rash....

DS, 6 months, has never really had diaper rash. He's cloth diapered and part-time EC'd. He also spends a part of each day diaper free. I use water, sometimes with a touch of mild soap (dr. bronner's baby mild) and cloth diaper wipes.

ok, so we went home for a week at x-mas and Finn was in disposables, and we were using diaper wipes...both natural, chlorine free, etc...

When we got home he had a little bit of diaper rash,more than he's had before but not much. Since then, it's just gotten worse!

I did switch laundry detergent just before x-mas, but it's perfume/dye/paraben free, and I only use a tbsp amount per load so I don't imagine it's the laundry detergent.
As for food, my diet hasn't changed. DS is still BF but we have started playing with solids. He's had some banana, before x-mas too, and I didn't notice any change right away...

What do you think? I have a diaper cream I'm using that DOESN'T have zinc oxide.

could it be the banana? the laundry detergent? any other ideas? teething maybe? he's got a bit of a rash on his torso today too, that he's itching at.

p.s. He has no fever or other cold symptoms, and it doesn't seem to bother him, except that he itches at his torso when I'm changing his diaper...
