I just got home from my sono and the verdict is... BOY! I am totally in shock still because I was convinced that this baby was a girl. However, the very obvious penis proved otherwise. :D  My son is thrilled because finally he will no longer be the only boy in a houseful of females. My daughter was upset at first, and is now coming around because we can get the bedding that was her favorite and it was "too boyish" for a girl. LOL!

I had really better start thinking of some boy names now...

My dad was the third boy of three. My husband was the second boy of two. I know both mothers probably had a little pang when their babies were born, but *I* am so glad for these fabulous men in my life!

We're having a boy. It was a little hard for me, admittedly. I hoped for a girl. I feel guilty for having a preference at all.

me too! but slowly i have found images in my head to wish on and the shopping has helped a little :)

I'm right there with you. I don't know that I was hoping for a girl, at least not consciously, I just was sure that's what this baby was. I had to change the entire image of this person in my head. I couldn't sleep last night until I had named him. I think a preference is totally normal. We have preferences for everything else in life, why not the sex of our children?

I was more disappointed because DH was.  I would have rather he had a boy.  I'm kinda scared he won't bond as well even though everybody says that isn't true after the birth.

(This is my first post in here - I hope it's ok if I just jump right in!)

We found out on Tuesday that we're having a girl (it will be our second). I'm thrilled. I think DH was just a tad disappointed, though he didn't let on. I'm sure he'll be fine though. :)

We had our ultrasound this morning and found out this is our second BOY!

I think both DH and I are a little sad to think we may never be parents to a girl (since we don't know if we'll have more)-- but only in an abstract way, taking nothing away from the fact that we're THRILLED for this actual little tiny person to be who he is!

We found out at our ultrasound yesterday that we are having a baby boy!! We are so thrilled! This all feels so real now, I'm incredibly excited! We went straight out and bought a couple of little boy outfits.
