Just wanted to pop in and say I'm still pregnant and measured 45 weeks at my appt today.  (oppsie).

Was strongly urged to lay off sugars and drink tons of water (my ankles/feet are hams) and get some walking in.

Stopped in at Target on the way home to do laps and it took every ounce of strength in my swollen body not to buy 14 bags of Dove valentine chocolates.

I get the pleasure of a NST on Saturday.  Yee haw!

I just got back from my 32 week U/S at the peri's office (I'm 32weeks tomorrow). The babies are ENORMOUS. I'm a bit scared, thinking well, maybe I DO have GD issues, even though I took the 1hour breakfast GD test like a month and a half ago and passed. Baby A is 4lbs 10oz and Baby B is 4lbs 9 oz. AND to top it off, they're both STILL freakin' transverse. *SIGH* The Peri wasn't very optimistic about them turning because "they're just soooo big" but I'm not giving up. HE said external version for twins is too risky, but my OB told me initially that if needed he could do it (in the hospital with a u/s machine). So ?? I'm stressing over the possibility of a C-section now. After EVERYTHING I've done to prepare for this perfect natural birth, now this. Trying not to get too discouraged yet, but wish he had been more encouraging about the possibility of them turning... :(

Nanette- thanks for the ice advice. I iced my butt for like 15 minutes before the hsg shot and didn't feel a thing.

Sending lots of to those eggs!!! Do you know yet when you're going in for your transfer?? That's so exciting! It feels like yesterday we did that :) And about the ice on the butt thing- I am glad you didn't feel anything- those progesterone shots were a bi&*h, I still got bruises, but at least I didn't feel that killer needle ;) Good luck mama! I'm looking forward to adding you to the list!!!

RCR - that's great news, i hope you are joining us very very soon!  fingers crossed everything is smoother sailing from here.

AFM - 40w4d today and heading to the hospital for an US and a nST later today to check in on things.  This weekend would be great, but this baby appears to be stubborn.  I'm really ready at this point.  My last came at 40w6d which is Monday.  I think once I get to 41w I'm going to start getting really anxious....

PS- Was inspired by some of the ladies in my DDC, and thanks to some much needed help from fellow BSL Kalamos, managed to knit my first wool soaker. My teddy bear model is a little too fat for it, but you get the idea :)  (Oh and disclaimer- DH picked out the camo wool- I was a little hesitant, but it DID turn out kinda cute)...

Nanette, that's adorable! And way to go with your creativity and motivation! I'm sorry your little kiddos aren't positioned for a natural birth yet. Have you tried yoga? My prenatal yoga instructor keeps saying how effective it can be for turning babies. I hope they get themselves into position soon!

finnegansmom, how did the appointment go yesterday? I can't imagine how ready you must feel. I hope you have this baby soon!

rcr, I said this elsewhere, but I am so happy to read about your miracle embies!!!

How's everybody else doing?

I don't know what's up, but I am feeling so not post-y. Did this happen to anybody else? I just don't know what to say, and I think it's because I'm feeling lots of worry and don't want to verbalize it. I'm trying to send just happy, positive, glowing thoughts to our little one. We have our next appointment a week from Friday, and we'll hopefully find out the gender then. I'm still feeling what I *think* is movement, on and off. DH can't wait until he can feel it too, and I honestly can't wait until I can feel it strong enough to know that it's DEFINITELY baby. I'm feeling a lot better the last couple days. It's weird: I whine whenever I feel yucky, but it really is reassuring to feel nauseous. I am sending the baby healthy growing vibes in there: keep it up, little one!!! Hope everybody else is doing well! Hugs and love!

Nanette - that's adorable!  Good for you, I can't knit at all.  I've tried, I just don't have the patience.  I love woolies for babies.  Adorable.  You should knit some cute sleep sacks, I LOVED using them on my son as newborn, looks like it might be easy since it's just a tube with ribs on the top and bottom (and so easy for late night diaper changes).

Tear - I kind of know what you mean.  I felt for a while after hitting the 2nd trimester that speaking about the pregnancy was "pushing my luck".  I couldn't even muster telling people IRL until close to 18 weeks...i hope your next appointment goes well, I bet you'll both be feeling the baby soon too.  That's so reassuring.  :)

I'm 40w5d today, kind of blue.  I googled "41 weeks pregnant" tonight just to see if I could have some reassurance and the first link I clicked to was a story about a 41 week loss.  :( 

My NST went well, the baby was VERY VERY active although my BP was high the first reading, it came back down to normal/low.  I do have a lot of fluid, which they didn't make a big deal of (I measured 45 weeks at my 40 week appt).  I'm hoping it's nothing, if you search for alot of amniotic fluid, of course it pulls up not so good things.  Why do I even bother to go on the internet?

I'm tired and trying to stay sane, didn't do much today except take a long bath and eat egg sandwiches (WEIRD craving for me).  I have my next NST and US on wednesday, hopefully that will be my last.  I'm not sure I can mentally reach 42 weeks without full on anxiety attacks.  I'm trying to decide if I'll let my MW strip my membranes on wednesday (if she even could since I'm not dilated and the baby has unengaged from my pelvis as I found out yesterday).  Oy. 

Hope everyone else is well - sorry to be a downer tonight.

Hugs Michelle! I know it really isn't any fun at all to be at that point. I went to 41wks and 1 day with my first. I did have my mw strip me at the 41 week visit, I was 3cm for forever and that seemed to push me into labor. I know you know this but I promise you won't be pregnant forever!! You can do this!!

Hi Ladies, sorry I've been MIA!

Michelle - I hope since your last post something exciting has happened, but if not, hang in there! (Easy for us to say, I know.)

Tear - I'm so excited that you think you are feeling the baby! As for your feelings, I think after all you've been through you are entitled to feel however you feel. I hope once that baby gets boisterous you can alleviate some of the fears. However, this baby and parenting business is always a scary and emotional thing - even once they are OUT! I can't wait to hear about your next appointment... and the gender!

RCR - I hope great things are growing at the RE's!

Jane - I don't think I ever officially welcomed you over here... Congrats on a healthy bean on the ultrasound. That is a great thing to see!

Nanette - Sorry those boys are being stubborn. DS moved at around 36-37 weeks, but then he was alone in the womb. I hope they move for you, but if not, that all goes otherwise well and you'll have healthy CHUBBY twins!

I'm sure I missed a few, but I don't like posting in the new format. Its slow and I'm always losing posts. Caleb will be 8 months in another 10 days. He cut his first tooth last week! He's totally trying to crawl, but can't seem to get his legs to cooperate. I know it will be soon though - and then watch out house!

He is so happy and has totally found his VERY LOUD voice the past week or so. He sure can scream! Sleeping pretty much fell by the wayside with the tooth eruption - and he's waking again at night to nurse like a 3 month old. This too will pass though, and for now he's just so cuddly and fun!

Aw, that's ok to feel not-so-posty.  I seem to post a lot but not as much as when I was TTC.  Funny that.  Our u/s appointment is Mon 2/28 (so right after yours) and we also hope to find out the gender.  I also hope that it comes back healthy and normal.  For a lot of reasons, but one rather silly one is that we're leaving for a vacation for a week the next day.  I'd hate to be worried sick about something that turns out to be nothing (deja vu back to our week when we had an empty sac).  I've thought about waiting until we get back...but I also really want to see the baby again! 

That's neat that you're feeling the babe.  Me too!  It feels like little tickles and "stroking" from the inside.  It's still weird enough to make me doubt what I am feeling, but DH is sure!

Hi!  We had our baby early Saturday morning!  Not exactly the easy, natural birth we had hoped for but as we all know about best laid plans...

Being 11 days overdue, carrying that much extra fluid (which really affected the progression of labor) and being in early labor for 2 days just sucked the life out of me.

But he's perfect!  Henry Beckett, born 4:02am on Feb 19.  10#5oz and 22" long, 15.75" head.  He's already like a 2 month old.  :)

We are still resting, I had some bleeding issues so I'm on "bedrest" which is impossible with 2 other kids but just putting away one load of laundry yesterday almost had me passing out so I need to lay low for a few more days.  Hopefully my milk will come in today so he can sleep better, he literally wanted to nurse from 9pm to 8am this morning.  Ouch.
