I want my husband back in bed, but I love sleeping with my baby girl.

I have been sleeping with my baby since the beginning, and she is now 16 months. My husband has been sleeping elsewhere for half of that time, because we have a queen bed and it got too small. I put a toddler bed next to ours two months ago, but she still cuddles next to me. She has been sleeping pretty soundly, but I am not sure how to make the transition. I tried 2 times putting her in the little bed and she woke up a bunch. I havn't pushed it, because her asleep time is so precious to her tired mommy. Any suggestions?  I wluld tike to have my husband move back in!

i side carred a crib. same level as the bed. when DD2 falls asleep i just roll her over into her own bed. someties she rolls over herself. plenty of room. until DD1 crawls into bed too. lol.

Instead of having a toddler bed next to your bed, how about another real bed?  Then insteads of moving your dd, you can move yourself.  We have what we call "superbed".  It is a queen bed and a double bed pushed together.  It is awesome and there is tons of room for dh, our 3 month old, our 3 year old and me.  Our queen bed frame is really heavy and with it pushed up to the double, they both stay in place.  We have a futon mattress on top of the double bed for comfort and the added bonus of making the beds the same height.  I love superbed!!
