Small adult seat belt safety...

So, it seems that harness/seat belt positioning is really important. As a small adult with a short torso I'm worried that my shoulder belt hits at the wrong spot and it isn't safe. It certainly isn't comfortable because it rubs on my neck. What is the proper position and is there a device that will position it properly?

Proper position is shoulder belt between neck and arm, and lap belt low on hips and thighs.

Unfortunately, shoulder belt positioners almost always raise the lap belt as well.  A lap belt that is too high is far more dangerous than a shoulder belt rubbing on the neck.

If you happen to weigh less than 120lbs or so, you can buy a booster seat.
