Last Air Bender: is it is bad as I keep hearing?

Any thoughts?lurk.gif My son has all but banned me from seeing it because he said it was that bad.disappointed.gif I am referring to M. Knight's version.

I didn't think it was horrible.  It's not my kind of thing so I don't think it's a great movie, but it wasn't that bad.

We really liked the cartoon series. Lots of humor, a good message, great characters, action - it was a lot of fun! And then, we saw the movie...

 

 

The acting was wooden. The casting was bad. The main character's name was mispronounced. The best things from the cartoon series were left out. The characters were flat and bland. Yes, it was that bad. If you're a fan of the cartoon series, you will be sorely disappointed in the movie. 

 

DH says, however, that there are plans for another cartoon series. It'll come out in 2013.

yes its that bad. or so i gather. i trust dd's opinion. at 7 she told me not to waste my time.

Nitenites explained why it's bad pretty well. I would rate it a 3/5 if you haven't seen the original series.
