Keeping baby's feet warm -- help!

I need some advice on keeping DD's feet warm. She kicks her feet CONSTANTLY. And she does it in such a way that her feet rub against each other, which removes socks. We've started putting soft shoes (Robeez) on top of the socks to keep them on (we're in Massachusetts and it is COLD!). She kicks those off too. We've tried a few other things, the best of which were fleece booties that snapped around the ankle. But those are now too small. What would you suggest we try next? Perhaps the Robeez booties that go up the ankle? Other ideas? Please help!!!

Cecilia does that too! The best solution I have found is just to do footie pajamas for playtime on days when it's cold. You can even put socks on under them if need be.

Footy pajamas at night and booties that tie around the ankle during the day and sometimes night.

A family friend made them and they have been the only thing that keeps her socks on her feet.

They are like these.

DS used to do that too. We had to get socks that were tighter and higher around the ankle in order to keep them on at all. Course, now that he's older, he just pulls them off so he can suck on his toes!

Infant socks are a joke that the garment industry plays on unsuspecting new parents (Let's see how many times we can get these poor fools to put them back on!). Buy some pants with footies!

I use smartwool booties! They stay on way better than normal socks! We have 1 pack (2 pairs) of those and that's all we use on Ds!

My main way of dealing with this is to constantly have knit tights on my DD. She will not keep socks on, and footie pjs are ok for at home, but I dont really want to take her out in them. We pretty much dress her in tights, a onesie or bloomers and shirt, and a hoodie every day.

We put socks on and put babylegs over the socks.  Works well for us!

Yes, we do lots of tights for going out too! I have a few pair of really cute knit ones.

We love Zutano booties for this reason.
