Hi Ladies,

We are currently conducting a new research project and we are in need of participants! We're trying to see how personalities of soon-to-be-moms can predict gender of the baby. If you're interested, please read on, we'd love to hear from you!

Researchers at Simon Fraser University in BC, Canada want to know more about the memory, cognitive abilities, and personality of women who are trying to conceive. We are looking for participants who are currently trying to conceive pregnancy without the use of hormonal supplements or reproductive technologies. You must have a regular menstrual cycle and be a resident of the United States or Canada.

Participation is quick and easy – almost all of it is done online, at your own pace!

To participate, or to get more information, please contact us at neuro@sfu.ca or by phone at 778-782-7656.

Please note, if you have any questions or are interested, contact us via our email address (neuro@sfu.ca) or feel free to private message us through this forum - as per requested by the forum administrator.

Warm Regards,
Neuro Lab

Can you participate if your doc is going to put you on progesterone once you are pregnant, but you aren't using any hormones to get pregnant?

Hi Mother Cake,

Our study looks at the relationship between hormones and behaviour, specifically in women who are trying to conceive (not yet pregnant). The online survey and saliva collecting are all done before pregnancy, so any hormones that you take once you are pregnant should not affect our results. In short, yes, you can definitely partake in our study if you wish!

If you would like more information, have any more questions or would like to become a participant, please feel free to email us at neuro@sfu.ca !

Cheers,

Neuro Lab

@ lilacvioletiris,

This is probably kind of biased, but on the off side, some of the stuff on the survey is pretty fun...such as puzzles, word games...etc.

If you're interested, we would be more than happy to start setting you up! Email us (neuro@sfu.ca)! :)

Well I talked with a lady researcher on the phone yesterday for 5 minutes and my materials are in the mail.  Yeah, I can't wait to participate.  Gives me something to do to focus my attention on while TTC.

Hi Ladies,

We are still looking for participants for this study! And as one of the posters stated, it seems like a lot of our potential participants tend to conceive before we can get to them...so perhaps this is lucky! ;)

Either or, if you are interested or have any questions, do not hesitate to ask us at neuro@sfu.ca!!

Cheers!
