It has been *forever* since I've wandered into this forum, so I have no idea what the latest and greatest is anymore. We still use our cloth diapers here and there (had a major break this last year, long story), and our washing machine is on it's last legs. Which means I need to find a good washer to replace it. One that can handle cloth diapers for a few more years would be most groovy.Â
So what washing machine(s) do you have that you adore? TIA! :D

I have an LG that I adore. They seem to have changed their model numbers, but the key features for me are:
Â
1. "Water Plus" button - this adds more water to all phases of a wash or rinse cycle. Key for diapers.
2. "Sanitary" cycle - I use this on all non-PUL items for total freshness.
3. "Bulky" cycle - Also adds more water to the whole cycle. Great for stripping.
4. The ability to turn off spin. This is great for a prewash b/c it leaves the water in the dipes, making them heavier, which adds more water on the next cycle.
5. Speed wash. It is 20 minutes on hot which makes a great rinse for diapers.
Â
We didn't get the steam function on the washer or the dryer b/c it was so much extra, but we did get the giant capacity (I think it is 4.2 cuft.)Â We have a lot of people and we can do huge loads.
Â
The only thing I wish I had is the "diaper rinse." I don't even know if it is LG who has it, but someone said they had it and it is a double hot rinse. I get this b/c doing two "Speed Wash" cycles, but a button would have been nice.

(How do you do this? Thanks!)
Â
When my two were in diapers, we had a Bosch Axxis and I loved it, though we were strictly a prefolds and BSSW family.Â
Â
Until it died after four years. Thank goodness we were done with diapers after 2.25.
Â
It had a power wash cycle on it that started with cold water and then stepped up the heat of the water until it was hot and if your water coming out of the tap wasn't hot enough, it had an onboard water heater to kick it up hotter. Worked like a gem (until the aforementioned breakdown).
Â
Good luck!

There is a button on mine that toggles spin speed from off to extra high.

Anyway, I use the sanitary for aio bg organics and it gets them super clean but I do a regular cold wash first to rinse them out and make sure the stains don't set. Never had any problems with smell or anything like that.
