Trying to help out a mama in the Columbia, MO area who was just dropped by a MW practice that had been seeing her since September - and her EDD is the middle of April. The practice agreed to a HB even with the knowledge that this would actually be a HBA2C, from what I gather the first two births ended in C-section due to "fetal distress" after being induced early in labor for "slow progress" (8 hours of pit after just 4 hours of natural labor was allowed) but otherwise no complications throughout the pregnancy.
Anyway, she just switched over to an OB/GYN who routinely provides shadow care for HB mamas, and is supportive of both HB and VBAC, but still wants to seek out a provider for a HB, considering the hospital in which the OB/GYN practices has a 50% c-section rate.
So far I have only been able to come across the New Village MW practice in Columbia, which I believe is the practice that dropped her....and the Columbia Community Birth Center, which I believe closed it's doors within the last year.
Does anyone familiar with the area know of any CPMs or CNMs who are HBAC friendly and may be able to assist this mama?
Thanks in advance!
