Why doesn't raw eggnog make me feel full?

I finally have a  good source of raw cream and I thought I would try making raw eggnog with it for breakfast. the problem is that I don't feel full at all and feel starving about an hour later? Why is that? Shouldn't this keep me full for most of the day?

One possibility is that if you're having an unsweetened eggnog it doesn't taste right (and isn't giving you a bloodsugar spike) and your mind is trying to get you to have more eggnog to see if you can find the "good" stuff.Although, in that case you'd be feeling hungry immediately not an hour later.

Or it could be a matter of not enough calories in your portion, depending on how much cream and egg you used.

If you're menstruating, or about to menstruate, your body could be trying to get you to take in more carbs.

I use about a cup of cream, 1 teaspoon of maple syrup and 1-2 egg yolks.

The other thing that comes to mind is that you aren't chewing. But that would also affect whether you felt full while you were eating, it shouldn't make you hungry later.

Oh! there's a possibility, you might be thirsty and having it manifest as hunger? You're probably drier now that it's winter. If it happens again, try a glass of water or some tea and see how you feel.

Thanks, I think I might actually need more carbs. I will have to add something and try chewing to see if that helps to along with a glass of water.

More maple syrup!  Just because maple syrup is yummy and actually has nutrients.
