Birth Control after 1st child

My first child was born four weeks ago and, with my 6 week pp appointment fast approaching, I'm starting to think about birth control options.  I want to avoid hormonal birth control.  I was already on the pill continuously for 9 years and much prefer allowing my body function with its natural hormones.  I'm also EBFing and don't want to mess with that.  I'm wondering what other's experiences (good and bad) are with different types of birth control.  I really appreciate any words of wisdom or suggestions.  Thanks!

I had a Paragard IUD inserted at 6w PP, and had it for 2 years.  I got my first PPAF at 15 months, and loved that I wasn't on any hormones and didn't have to obsess about when my fertility returned.  It did cause heavier periods, but I had zero cramping with them.
