My 8 yr old male cat is still leaking urine two weeks after a fixed blockage and a full round of antibiotics. He is eating, drinking and using the box for pee and poop normally but is now confined to the unfinished concrete floor basement because we have another cat and I'm not cleaning up cat pee all over our entire house. Is this going to stop? My vet is at a loss.  He has been at the vet twice in the last two weeks and there is no other signs of a continuing UTI or infection. I'm pretty sure that after this weekend my husband (who has wanted to get rid of the cat for years because he used to poop all over the beds and couch) will have had enough. I would like to keep the cat but know that it's not fair to him to keep him locked in the basement with little interaction with us. I have a 17 mo old and cannot follow the cat around all day cleaning up pee. I am also afraid that our other cat will smell the pee and think that it's ok for him to pee anywhere too.  Does anyone have a happy ending to report from a similar situation? Does anyone want an 8 yr old cat who is very sweet but leaky? I would happily re-home him. Sigh.Â
