Embroidery thread / floss made in USA

I'm making tons of friendship bracelets with my little ones!

The stash of floss I just got was made in cHina

I was wondering ... Has anyone found a source for floss that is other than MIC? I emailed DMC to see where theirs is made ... No answer. Google search didn't give me any sources.

I'm concerned with a lot of handling and wearing by my little ones and the dyes coming off ... Perhaps some nasty chems?

Being made in the US wouldnt change that embroidery floss is dyed with dye.... 

Made in china doesnt automatically = bad.   

I've never had an issue with dye coming off, even when wet.

I think you're right.  We've been working with it for several weeks now, the stuff made in China, and wet or dry, it's really colorfast.  

I just have to accept that the modern age has a lot of toxins, and you can't control everything or worry about it.
