Cloth Diapers and Formula Poop?

We have cloth diapered all our kids but for a multitude of reasons (mostly medical) DS3 (3 months) is now mostly eating formula... do I need to start rinsing his poop off the diapers before washing?  Or will it just come off in the wash like BM poop does?

I'm not sure on this but I think you'd have to treat it like solids poop.

Thanks! I figured that was probably the answer but wanted to double check...

We've never had any luck with our formula poops just magically dissolving like BF poops. :(

I didn't start rinsing my little guy's poos until a year.  At which point the solids chunks were just too much for my machine to handle.  I never had a problem with the formula poos just washing out.

It's possible though that if they're really pasty, the babe may not be tolerating the formula all that well.  My ped told me to give it a week of the new formula to see if his body adjusted, and if his poos didn't loosen up to try something else (a different brand).

His poops don't look much different than when he was on BM... so does that mean I am probably ok to not rinse?

Yup!

Woot!  I think I'll give the no rinsing a try, unless his poops start to look really gross.  I have 2 other kids worth of poopy diapers to rinse so not adding a 3rd would be great :D
