roll over!?

Soooo, just looked up DS #1 and he rolled over 3mo on the dot.... DS #4 thought active (and to us at least a genius) hasn't yet.... So, how old was everyone's little one when they rolled over?? DS #1 didn't do anything else in a rush though, so its not that I'm paranoid, they do it when they are ready -but now I have MDC to compare notes on!

DD2 rolled front to back at 6 or 7 weeks... back to front quite a bit later. 4 months maybe? Don't remember with DD1.

My baby is 4 1/2 mos and still isn't rolling over.

I rolled off of a King size bed at 1mo, my ds didn't roll over till 5.5mo, and then was walking unassisted at 8.5mo.  He had a busy few months there!

My DD2 didn't roll until after she sat up (5 months) but walked at just shy of 10 months.  DS is 4 months and has rolled a couple times (3 weeks, 4 months) but does not roll consistently.  I think DD1 rolled earlier but was later on all of her other gross motor milestones.

I honestly have no idea when dd rolled over...I think though it was closer to 8 or 9 months, she was starting to stand on her own I know that.  lol.  We always joked that she was going to be in her college dorm and have to ask her roommate to roll her over lol.  She was doing everything else on schedule so we weren't concerned

DS is almost six months and still doesn't consistently roll over, though he has done it a few times.  However, he can almost sit unsupported.  I think he just doesn't care about roll overing... but sitting up... now that is cool!  I'm not too worried about it.

(Yes, I wrote "roll overing".  Can you say sleep deprivation?  I'm leaving it there because I think it's funny.)

DS started rolling from back to front at 7 weeks. He's pretty high-needs and has always been very mobile and active, even on the earliest scan when I was pregnant he was squirming and stretching all around!. He had head control from birth on! It looks like he'll be walking at 9 months. So he's on the early end of "normal" for motor skills. However, the range of normal is huge, so I wouldn't worry and if you are truly concerned, talk to your pediatrician.

LOL I did too!  And at 5.5 mo DS just rolled back to front and then front to back a few times this weekend (trying to get a better handle on those feet I think lol.gif).  And started sitting unassisted yesterday.  And already loves to stand assisted.  I think we're going to have those same few busy months!  Hooray!

DD1 rolled back to front first, which is a bit weird, I believe, at 8 weeks.  She was very HN and early on all the physical milestones though - crawling at 4 months (!) and walking at 8.

DD2 is a bit mellower, and has just started rolling both ways in the last couple of weeks, just after she turned 4 months.

DD1- back to belly at 3.5 months

DD2- back to belly at 2.5 months

much earlier for belly to back for both of them.

DD1 crawled at 6.5 months, but didnt walk till 14 months. We will see about DD2.

DS rolled front to back at 6 weeks, but untill today rarely did it (3 times today). at 4 months he still barely rolls and hasn't rolled back to front.

Three weeks ago DD rolled over belly to back twice in one day and hasn't done it since.  She's 5.5 months and still hasn't rolled from back to belly, but then again she is a premie.  Still I'll be less worried about her development when she finally starts doing it.

Grace had an accidental roll over from back to front at 3 weeks, but I didn't see it.  Just reported by her grandmother... hmmm.
