Our family loves the show. Hoping it's better than last year.

Steven Tyler is going go really make the show this year. He feeds the good singers with his energy making them give more and OMW the man is so funny. LOVING it. joy.gif

Just subbing, will be back later with my comments- enjoyed tonight!  I do love the auditions and hollywood week more than the actual competition, but I'm sure I'll watch it all.

I like it so far.  The auditions are not my favorite part because of all the bad people, but I do like the back stories.  It seems so much of a nicer show now that Simon is gone.  I'm liking Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.

I'm liking the new judges, too.  Some of the contestant were so goofy - like the Jersey chick with stars on her boobs.  Why the heck did she do that?

No idea about the stars. She was lucky that they gave her a real shot after that but I expect she wont last long in Hollywood. The little girl from North Carolina wont last either to young and just not quiet there yet voice wise.

The last audition of the night, cant remember his name but he was from the Bronks made me cry his family was so proud of him and so very thankful.

The red headed guy was awesome and that little 15yo boy had the voice of an angel.

I haven't watched in years but, i may watch this seaon. I have to say I love the addition of Jennifer Lopez. I love Steven Tyler but it creeps me out when he makes comments about how the young girls look, dress etc....it feels inappropriate.

I only heard him say one thing that squeeked me out and I dont think he meant it like it sounded. He does not have much of a filter though.

He made some comment about liking the length of a 16 yo girls skirt, saying something about showing just enough leg. I heard a couple like that. Nothing huge but just a bit yuck.

ah, crap.  I missed it tonight.  Oh, well.  I like the auditions, but get more into it once they are actually in Hollywood.  What's nuts is that it's the 10th season.  I remember being pregnant with my first baby when it was first on and Kelly Clarkson won.  I realize how long ago that was when contestants are all, "I've been watching the show since I was 7, and it's always been my dream to be on Idol"  and they are like 16 years old.

I  have to agree too that the auditions are the best part of the show. I mean there are some reall brave people out there who really enjoys being humilated by Simon.

you gotta realize it is steven tyler. he probably has never been told not to say stuff like that before he is an original rockstar  to the extreme

If he doesn't stop "gahgahgah gah goooowwwwww"-ing all the time I won't be able to watch.  Shut up, we know you sing.

I wasn't paying much attention, but that was so distracting.

I thought it would be awful without Simon, but I'm surprised at how much I'm not missing him! I never payed much attention to Aerosmith before, but I actually really like Steven Tyler so far. He's funny! And I knew I would love Jennifer Lopez!

Auditions have never been my favorite. I'm looking forward to when the show really gets going!
