The last audition tonight was a tear jerker for me greensad.gif the whole story and the fact he is sticking with her is just so joy.gif I am glad he could sing and loved how Steven showed how touched he was.

Still loving him on here even my dh is watching it with me this year because of the judge changes.

I was also pregnant with my 1st when Kelly Clarkson won, lol.

I haven't watched the show in years, probably not since the 3rd or 4th season. I did watch the other night to see the new judges, and I really liked them. Much better in fact.

I'll be watching this season.

I am really liking the little red headed boy and the girl with the really unusual voice Emily Ann.

I liked Emily Ann also.

I didn't think that Paris or Tina (I think that was the one who said she was tired of watching everyone try to do what she knew she could do) were that great, and I don't think they should have made it through.

I agree. and even if she does get through I doubt that America is going to be all gungho to vote for her with that attitude grossedout.gif

I'm disappointed that they didn't show more of the people singing.  Like they never showed Emily Ann after that first day, and Molly the White House intern.  And then some of the people who made it through were never shown at all.  I like the personal stories, but I wish they showed a greater variety of the contestants.

I am sad Emily Ann got booted. She had a really unique voice. I dont think she could have won but the exposure could have gotten her a record deal. I am thrilled that the one who had stars on her boobs during auditions got booted. I still dont know why they let her go through to begin with she couldnt sing worth a darn.

Thoughts about the top 13?  I'm so happy Naima made it.

My favorite girl is Lauren she really has major talent and she is very likable. Scotty is my fav. guy love that deep voice and his humbleness.

Anyone else out there still watching? I am really enjoying the talent this year so many good singers to choose from and the judges are so great. I look forward to seeing what they will say every week especially Steven.

yep, still watching! I was annoyed with last week- way too many ballads, and while competently sung, nothing that would make me  excited or want to vote! This week with Motown was a bit better. I do like the judges, but the show is sorely missing Simon's frank and honest reviews (and to me, hilarious insults). Hearing what he had to say was one of my favorite parts of the show for me!

So many of them are great and unique singers!  I'm so glad to see them being mentored by actual music producers instead of the likes of Miley Cyrus.  With the experience, it almost seems like where they place is irrelevant- any of them could be a success in the music industry and now already have contacts and experience.

Watching American Idol is bonding time for our family.  My husband and I plus our 2 kids - 10 and 5 year olds, have our own faves!  This group is such a talented bunch...sad to see Thia and Naima go last week. I miss Simon's in-your-face remarks, but I like the way Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler have their own ways of delivering their comments in such a positive and constructive light.
