posting photos - privacy options?

I was just wondering if there is a way to make photos that I post here on mothering inaccessible to the public (nonmembers)?

I enjoy sharing pictures of my family with my friends here on mdc, but I have yet to see any privacy options available and it seems that anyone out there on the internet can come into our forums and view, download, save and use our photos for their own purposes.

Are there any privacy options on mothering.com or are the administrators considering anything like that for the future?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, the protection offered would be limited to those who hadn't registered, and it would only take registering at the site to have access to your photographs. We do currently offer privacy settings for member photo albums, explained here. I would recommend posting personal photographs in the membership restricted forums such as Talk Amongst Ourselves to help minimize the photo theft issues. While this should minimize the risk, unfortunately, it's never possible to totally eliminate the risk of unauthorized copying when sharing personal information and photos online.

I will certainly ask if there are any photograph privacy safeguards in the works.

Thanks Georgia I appreciate the reply. I think more privacy options is definitely something I would like to see on MDC.
