I'm confused about due date...

At the midwife's office today she calculated my due date to be May 7th. But, I told her I have 30 day cycles and my first of my last menstrual period was August 1st. When I pull that up online on any site, it shows that I'm due May 10th. Also, I know the date of conception was either on or after the 17th of August. Should I have her change my due date?

Even if I pull it up as the average woman with a 28 day cycle it gives me May 8th as a due date. I'm wondering where she came up with May 7th?

Sounds like she's using Naegle's Rule and missing it by one day.

I say work hard to move your due date as late as possible, given how induction-happy the hospitals are these days.   I'm not advocating for making something up, but every day counts at the end, for letting your kiddo do its thing and get labor started!    Good luck :)

I would just mention it to her. If you explain it like you did here (I usually ovulate X days in having a 30 day cycle so My due date would be the 10th because that's what my history shows) She'll probably listen. My MW gave me an extra day on my ED because I explained that DS was larger than dates at 9 week ultrasound (by three days) she she gave me an extra 1 cause that's about as much as she could. (we had no clue as to conception as I hadn't had my period return after DS)
