Quit day one, I'm ready for the chunk...

Ran out of smokes last night.  Facing getting dressed, getting in the car, freezing my butt off, giving some more of my hard earned money to the nicodemon, and giving into my addiction once again....  I grabbed the box of patches I bought 6 months ago and said "no more".

So day one, yeah me!!!

Any helpful tips to battle the bulge while in my journey?  I'm not talking about the snacking, I can control that.  The metabolic effect of lack of constant stimulant is going to be a def issue though.  Cutting wayyyyy back on the booze at the same time- less smoking trigger, less willpower dulling, and less empty calories.

Good for you!  I know that when I quit, I felt better so exercise was way easier.  It was also easier for me not to snack when I was exercising regularly.  It kinda came together as a good time to just plain get healthy.

Of course now that I have been "quit" for a long time, I love good beer and baking. lol.  Some of the weight seems to have creeped back on.  Oops.

Congrats on taking that step to quit! Try chewing gum, it might help.
