Will a Radian XTSL really fit a newborn?

I'd like to get a Radian XTSL or a Radian 80 to use for the new baby from the beginning. But are the straps low enough for a newborn? I was comparing the straps in the Scenera (which I already own) to the straps in a MR65 when I was in Target the other day and it seemed like the MR65 had a much lower bottom strap setting than the Scenera. I haven't seen the Radians in person but looking at them online, it looks like the lowest strap setting is still really high.

I have no idea how big this baby will be when it's born since this is my first baby. DH and I were both over 8 lbs each at birth but I was a tiny 18 inches long so it could be a short little thing!

Radians fit most full-term, average size and shape, newborns.

DS2 was born at 8lbs 4oz and 19.5" long. He was three days old in this pic.

Sunny, thanks for the pic! I'm a very visual learner so that helped me out a lot!

My daughter was 7 lbs. 1 oz. and 19" and the bottom straps of our Radian 65 were at her shoulders. If she'd been any smaller she wouldn't have fit. She was 2.5 weeks early and my boys were much bigger so it was a surprise to have such a tiny baby. I might have borrowed an infant seat ahead of time if I'd known she would be so little.
