Recipe Book?

Hello All love.gif

We buy organic /natural self care and home care products in our home and love the products we use however, recently I have noticed how much money I am spending on them.

I have decided that I would like to start making my own products to use on ourselves and our home. I am not interested in something that will take a lot of time to make, I need simple. I have looked around for a book that has recipes for such things and explains the basics of making these things but, I have not had any luck.

Can anyone recommend a book that offers recipes for home care and self care products like deoterant, soaps, toothpaste, cleaners, etc. that are easy to make and don't take a lot of ingredients? We use vinegar for a lot of cleaning but, I would like some more ideas and a reference book I can keep at home to look over.

Thanks, Megan

I posted this in body care too, I wasn't sure where it was more appropriate

I've found the most online - simplemom.net (one of my all time favorite sites), I think has a bunch.  :)

I came here thinking about cooking recipes, but the same method could apply for personal/home care.

When I find something I like I print it off and keep it in a 3 ring binder in page protectors. Then I take dividers, cut a small slit in the side of the page protector for the divider's tab to stick through (because if you don't, the tabs get lost within the pages since the page protectors are just as wide), then voila, totally functional book filled only with things I know I'll use and easy to navigate. Home made frugal reference guide.
