Trying to decide which to get. Â 3.0's are cheaper now, but I'm wondering if the improvements in the 4.0's are worth it.
Thoughts?

I've used both. The 4.0 are much better IMO. Longer rise and snaps are the 2 reasons I like them over the 3.0. I had to stop using 3.0 because DS outgrew them by 18 months, plus he learned how to unhook the aplix so I'd had all of my 3.0 converted to snaps.

ETA: My experience is with the one size pocket bumgenius.
I just wanted to add my amateur two cents. I just received a package of 3.0s today. I bought them because there were a lot of reviews about them and very few on the 4.0s. I thought it safest to go with the more affordable, more thoroughly reviewed model. Anyway. When I tried them on my 2 1/2 year old, one of the first things I thought was that they may not last long. Not their quality, but their sizing. When I set the aplix to a comfortable fit for him, it just didn't look like he had much growing room. And, note, my son has been in the 0-5th percentile in height and weight for over a year now. He's about the size of most 12 month olds. I bought the size large. However, they do fit him quite well right now. I was pretty impressed with the fit in the legs, actually. I'm use to disposables, which have always gapped open there. I thought I would respond because another commenter cited the size shortcomings of the 3.0.
