snappi not staying at the bottom?

I just started using prefolds with my 20 month old, and they're working great. the only thing is, the bottom part of the snappi isn't staying secured. it's not a big issue, but since we're using bummis whisper pants at home, she sticks her hand down there all the time. (it comes unsecured before the hand goes inside the cover, I just don't like her grabbing the snappi). any ideas on how to get it to stay better?

In 16 mos, ive never figured that one out. But we do use covers he cant get his hands in.

glad to know I'm not the only one who can't get it to stay. it's not a problem if she's in a cover she can't get her hands in. but I'm liking using the pull-on covers at home because it's so easy to get her in and out of, which is great for pottying.

Snappis are why I pin.  If the third grabber doesn't stay in place, the front of the diaper slips down and exposes your baby's tender areas to the nasty hooks of the snappi.

Cant get ours to stay either. I recently realized that that little piece of stretch plastic is supposed to be streched over the teeth so that if you arent using it it doesnt get caught on things. Thats been a help, since it was constantly getting caught on my sweaters (we let her just wear a pf w/ snappi sometimes if shes looking rashy)
