Why is DD still struggling? Ideas???

Please see this post for our history (short):

http://www.mothering.com/community/forum/thread/1258182/things-aren-t-always-what-they-seem

Since writing the above, I have remained on an egg-free diet and DD has never had egg directly as a solid food or as an ingredient in a solid food.  However, she struggles with two issues:

1) Slow weight gain - one month she actually lost weight and is now <10% on the charts despite eating well

2) Chronic constipation (since starting solids) - resistant to all dietary changes (juice, peaches, pears, prunes, peas, whole grains, etc...).  She responds to Miralax/PEG (2 tsp/day), but I if I try to wean her dosage down she gets constipated again.

She is on probiotics (Udo's infant blend).  Any thoughts as to what might be going on with her?

TIA!

So the post you linked to talked about eggs and dairy. Have you tried eliminating any other foods? Like gluten or soy? It's possible there could be another food that bothers her that is causing the weight issues and chronic constipation.

I agree with PP (dairy, gluten, soy, and corn are the top 4 intolerances, so you could try pulling any or all of those). It's not normal to be constipated all the time so there's got to be a reason.
