Blueberries never gave us blue spots - they're more black. And it was really obvious, because the poop was black. If they're not like that when they go into the pail - what color is your pail? What's it made of? Do you use a liner? When's the last time it was washed?
Nope, no ink pen. Just a very strange mystery. I'm thinking it's some kind of chemical reaction? Maybe ammonia? It happens IN the diaper pail, not in the washer. Large blue stains. At first I thought my one blue wipe and my one dark blue BG was staining everything, but I think that's not the case, because I've had those forever, and there is no reason they'd start staining now after tons of wash cycles.
I use a Bummis XXL wet bag to line a regular white plastic swing lid (breathing) trash can. We've been using this setup since she was a newborn. I wash the liner every few washes, not every time. Maybe that's it. It's just so weird, though. I wonder what the BLUE stuff is?
It's definitely NOT food in the poo or left on the dipes, because I am a pretty thorough rinser. :) I do go a few days in between washes. I really think it's some kind of pee/ammonia thing. So strange. I figured I wouldn't be the only one, but there you go! :)
