Recommend a good sidecar crib for under $200

I have a Babies R Us, Target and Walmart... I am looking to buy a crib from one of these places that is sidecar friendly. The crib I have now, is not. I want a light pine, or natural wood color, for under $200.

Thank you!!

We got ours off of craigslist for $20. It is a drop side. We have just not put that side on the crib. It is fine and sturdy even prior to being strapped down to our bed. Any bed that will convert to a "daybed" should work for you. You could also try Amazon and Overstock for other ideas.

Good luck!

This was our crib, MIL got it for us when we had DD1.  It worked awesome as a sidecar.  It's expensive, and I would never buy it on my own hehe.  But if you can find something similar in style for cheap, you'll be in luck :)  It worked awesome.

Thanks everyone. What is the key function in a crib being a good sidecar? The crib I have, is unfortunately a $400 crib, but the front corners of it, stick WAY out, are very curvy. So it can never butt against our bed, there is always a 1ft gap. So I have sold it, and will use the $ to buy a new crib.. I am a little leery of buying cribs of craigslist..?

You didn't mention Ikea, so maybe there are none near you, but we got the Sniglar for $70 - it's perfect.  Very east to put together without the side and later will convert to a toddler bed.  I liked the look of the Gulliver better and many people had recommended it for sidecarring as well, but we needed it to have smaller feet.

Yep we have the Ikea Singlar sidecared to our bed for 3 years now and love it. it is exactly what you asked for and it is made to be 3 sided. We then used the 4th side as a baby gate :)
