If you are from Montana or can give this information to someone you know in Montana we need you!

Great news!  We have a new 2011 Legislative Session Vaccine Bill that will change the regulations to allow a religious exemption for vaccinations in daycare/preschool settings. Currently there are only medical exemptions allowed for daycare/preschool settings which is adversely affecting many Montanans.

In a quick nutshell, in 2007 a small group of people worked hard at getting a similar bill passed and we got it through committee to the floor of the House of Reps in Helena.  We lost by 3 votes to get it passed on to the Senate.

This session, Rep. Bob Wagner is our sponsor for HB227 and the bill has officially been assigned to the Human Services Committee (Committee Member list below).  To keep this short and sweet, I’ll get to the point and that is we need your help to get this passed through Committee which is meeting on Wednesday, January 26!

  1. We are developing a list of people interested in testifying on behalf of this bill.  We are looking for parents who have had hardships because of the inability to send their child(ren) to a daycare/preschool due to vaccination choices, people from the medical community who support the choice of vaccinations, daycare/preschool providers who have had a hardship of turning families away who didn’t have a medical exemption, people who wish to testify about the disregard of our constitutional freedoms, and anyone else interested in this issue who could drive to Helena on short notice to testify.  If you are interested, please email me at laceywhitney@gmail.com
  2. We need signatures from people who either run a daycare/preschool or families who have had hardships due to vaccine regulations, or those families who have a vaccine-injured child. If you are interested and would like the forms please email me at laceywhitney@gmail.com

Thanks so much for reading this and for your help!
