EldonCard for Testing sensitization of the mother

Hey All,

We are planning on getting our hands on some EldonCards for blood typing - does this test show if I (an RH neg mother) have become sensitized?  Or do I need a "lab" test?  We are going to test my husband for his type since we don't know it at this point, and maybe our three year old too.

Anyway, Just curious about sensitization -

No, it will not show if you are sensitized. The Eldon card is just for blood typing. Sometimes you may get an inaccurate reading so I recommend buying more than one card per person to double check results. That's what I'm going to do to type my baby's blood. I found out with an Eldon card that my hubby is A+. I'm O-, boo... Oh well.
