sudden sickness, what is it?

My nearly 6 yo ds, who rarely gets sick, was fine at school--I volunteered there midday and saw him. Dh walked him home and saw him as fine too. They did some mellow activities. Then he said he was very tired and had a headache (though first he had to understand what a headache is because he hasn't had one before). He said the headache started when he walked home at 3pm. We suggested he eat something. He had part of a pomegranate and some water. Then I looked at him and he looked pale and he felt like he had a mild fever. He fell asleep on my lap at 5pm and has been sleeping ever since (it has been 3 hrs). I'm so glad he got the vitamins from the pomegranate in him before he went to sleep. For a while the fever seemed beyond mild, but not it seems back to mild.

Has anything like that happened to anyone else? What do you think it is?

This happened to my DD and DH this weekend. I know at least 10 other people dealing with this right now. I started taking Sodium Ascorbate, elderberry, and Vit D when I first got the symptoms and my sickness was much more mild. DD was vomiting and the only thing she could keep down for a while was coconut water.

Around here, influenza, pertussis, Fifth's disease, and strep are going around. As well as plain 'ole mild colds.

Thank you both. We saw the nurse/homeopath this morning. She said there is a viral thing going around here where people get a sudden fever and tiredness. It usually lasts a few days. I was so glad that it isn't the flu and likely to last longer. Later in the day an adult friend called and she had the exact same thing.
