Tap, bottled, distilled or filtered water?

Which type of water does your family drink and why? Can anyone give me some info on which is healthiest?

We drink filtered well water.  I have no info on the health of it, but that's what we have.  I don't do bottled water.

I vastly prefer Poland Springs spring water (most of the time - there were a few months a while back where every batch just tasted "wrong"), but I don't really like the idea of paying for water or the plastic it wastes (although I do get the gallon jugs; if I had a place to put it, I'd get those 2.5 gallon ones with the spout, but I just leave the jug on the floor at room temp).

The water in my city is tolerable to me if it's filtered (it's got WAAAY too much chlorine otherwise! Sometimes when I'm washing the dishes it smells like I'm at the city pool!  Eww...).  I need to get new filters for my Brita pitcher, though.

My problem is, I just don't like plain ol' water. I will drink Poland Springs & I need more water in my life, so that's my justification for buying it.  I just bought some tisanes (WildBerry Zinger from Celestial Seasonings), as recently in order to get my "water" I've been drinking store brand Kool-Aid! Yikes!  Now that I'm cutting out refined sugar again, I switched to tisanes with honey. Wish I'd thought of it sooner.

I believe I read something once upon a time that most bottle waters are really just filtered municipal tap water!  Well, if Poland Springs is from municipal taps, I need to move there! *grin*

IIRC, distilled water has all the vitality of water distilled out of it; it doesn't have any minerals or anything anymore. Not the best choice for drinking, I've been told.

I wish I had more money & didn't live in an apartment; I was thinking while I was just in the shower that I would love to have one of those "whole house" filters. That chlorine, even in my shower, is just icky - makes my skin feel gross.

I think I recall the "best" water would be filtered tap water that's been filtered with an osmosis filter?  I could be wrong/times could have changed & there is better technology now, but that seemed to be the top of line H2O when I last did some research into it. :)

I drink well water that we RO filter. It's delicious.

I have nothing against well water in general, I just prefer the taste of soft water and our water is very hard and do not care for drinking all the salt from the water softener water.

Filtered well water.  yum.

We drink filtered tap water stored in our fridge. Bottled water is only for emergencies in my opinion as it is so harmful to the environment and expensive.
