He has been accused of incorrectly linking the MMR vaccine with autism. In this special interview, Wakefield discusses the current controversy surrounding his research.

Thanks so much for this interview! It made me cry. As a health care professional myself, it is so shocking to witness the gross miscarriage of justice to which Andrew Wakefield has been subjected. When I started my own intensive reading on the vaccination issue, my personal world view shifted tremendously. Though I always knew that the health care system was by no means perfect, I used to have much more faith that health policy and practices placed real health as the absolute priority. I no longer feel this way. I'm still in mourning for my innocence!
