Keeping rhythm when Mamma is sick

Any suggestions? I feel like I have some resources to help me when my little ones are sick, especially Family, Festivals and Food.....that book is a godsend!

I'm sick, fevery, lethargic and coughing so much that I can't even read to the kids. We do have a TV set, and I'm not opposed to popping in a video for short stretches of time, but I feel these poor kids are in front of it all day yesterday and today and it's showing in their behavior.

My guys are little; 6, nearly 5 and 1.

What do you Waldorf mammas do to keep some rhythm and sanity when you feel awful?

Major helps from DH even while he's at work....he ordered lunch delivered for us today joy.gif, just had to add that in that bit, it made my day!

Videos, it's basically all I've got if I'm really sick or I will call a friend and have her take one of the kiddos because if I'm sick I can not get anything done! Forget rhythm, I just want to sleep or REST!

I do set up crafts and encourage messes, and do books on tape to occupy DD

I'm right there with you! I've been horribly ill and we've been doing a lot of tv in between naps. Granted, we've been sleeping about 95% of the day so it's not more tv than most kids watch in q dqy but definitely more than our normal.

I had an awful cold and cough a few weeks ago (still coughing!).  I did my best to keep a basic rhythm, but that mainly consisted of keeping meal times the same and doing a drive for naptime each day.  I think it's perfectly fine to scale way back when sick and just have time to rest for everyone.  I had energy to sit and do playdough each day, so that helped.
