cervical fluid question

how many of you conisder creamy transitioning to watery CF fertile? and, if so, how long do you think sperm live in it? how long are they supposed to live in general?

i'm never quite sure when the actual fertile window starts and begins based on CF. for instance, if my usual pattern is too start producing creamy CM on day 9-11/12, watery to egg-white 12-15, would all of that be considered my fertile window?

i guess i need to refamiliarize myself with the "rules."

Yes, that would all be your fertile window.  Sperm can live 3 days in most cases, 5 in many cases, and 7 in a very few, so even if you started having creamy on day 9 and didn't O until day 15, it might still be possible to conceive based on BD on day 9.

Are you charting temps as well?  There is another rule that with 6 cycles of history, you can go to first day of temperature rise minus 7 if dry.  I used to have a whole lot of creamy, like every day of my cycle and then ovulate really late, so I would use first day of temperature rise minus 8 if not dry and had success in postponing that way.  I wouldn't expect it to have the same high effectiveness as the other NFP rules, but it worked for me.
