I just found out that my son is partially blind in one of his eyes and needs glasses. He is 5. Does anyone have an opinion on Recs Specs? I was given a good recommendation for them, but thought I would check it out a little further :)

My son has worn glasses since kindie. Â He wear regular glasses for everyday and rec specs for sports/PE. My son does TKD, hockey and lacrosse. The rec specs are awesome since they stay on and stay in place plus protect his eyes. Regular glasses are more fragile, can break more easily during impact and slip down the nose (which according to my son is very annoying, LOL!).

This is what I was thinking of doing. A regular pair and a Recs Specs pair. We are big into sports and of course he is a 5 year old so he is running everywhere when we are outside or at the playground, so I thought the Recs Specs would be good for that.
My friends child won't wear the regular pair ever since she got the Recs Specs.. The only thing is they are special order at the eye dr we go to and we have our insurance covered pair for theh year ordered already..
