Hosting a baby shower after the flu - what do you think?

Thread Starter

I've had the flu all week. High fever, severe headache, chills, cough etc.... I am supposed to host a baby shower tomorrow at 10am here at my house.

I've been talking to the other hostesses and one said we could move it to her place if needed.

So, yesterday, I still had a low grade fever for most of the day but, my fever broke at about 2am this morning and I woke up feeling soooooo much better. Headache and body aches are gone, I'm hungry, have good energy etc....

So, what do you think? Assuming I don't have a relapse (at which point I would definitely move the shower) do you think it's ok to do the shower? I will be fever free for over 24 hours at that point.

Also, I spent the entire time I was sick upstairs so, even though I wasn't downstairs where the shower will be, I'll still wash every surface thoroughly.

What do you think? I would never do anything to put someone elses health in jeopardy. Especially a pregnant woman.

I don't think you need to move it at this point I think you owe it to your guest to give them heads up.  They can decide if there immune system can handle it.

I agree, just let people know and let them make the decision. If it turns out a lot of people would rather not attend, then maybe you could move it?
