gCloth help!!! Anyone have gDiapers' gCloth??

Can someone help me out here?  Anyone out there have gCloths?  I made my own gLiners by using the exact same material (or at least I thought I did??) as gDiapers uses..... however, when I tested them out with water, they don't seem to absorb very much! How frustrating.  I made 26 medium size liners and 14 smalls for the 44 bucks! I thought for sure I had done an outstanding job at recreating gLiners.

What I want to know is how quickly do you feel your gLiners absorb liquid?  Does the hemp on the bottom ever feel wet?  I thought the point was that the microfleece pulled moisture in and the hemp obtains all the moisture.  Am I completely wrong here? 

I'm very down and frustrated now.  Can someone help me out?

with the ones they make, the fleece does more or less wick the liquid to the hemp (actually a hemp/cotton blend) and the hemp absorbs. the gcloths don't hold all that much liquid as compared to most other diapers, we could only let DD pee in them once between changes or she would leak out the leg of the cover.
