Hiya! My mom's friend's daughter is pregnant. She's a little on the younger side and has never used cloth (probably hasn't even seen it) so I don't want to throw something at her that is going to overwhelm her. I really can't afford to buy her a whole BumGenius stash (if I had the money I would have spent it on my baby!) but I'm kind of iffy on the cheaper diapers. I really don't want to get her a bunch of regular prefolds, snappis, and covers. I was already dedicated to cloth and they make me want to pull my hair out!!
Does anyone use Econobum as their main diaper? Is it a relatively easy diaper to figure out?
I considered just buying her what I have but I'm also having leaks with my brand new Sunbaby diapers (pocket & microfiber insert). Is there a minimum number of times you have to wash the inserts to make them absorb correctly? I tried them after 2 hot washes but I'm thinking that wasn't enough.
