Cleanses

I have no experience with cleanses but am coming off several years of meds and want to start anew, if possible and was trying to read up/learn about the reasons behind it. I do not need to lose weight, I just like the idea of getting rid of toxins in the body. I have read on the Master Cleanse on this site but am not sure about it. Are there websites anyone can direct me to regarding detoxing with whole foods? What kind of foods or does it have to be liquid only?

I have not personally done this program but what about this:

detox with a TF/Weston Price foundation!

I do have experience doing the Master Cleanse and it was tremendously helpful for relieving my SEVERE

seasonal allergies.

I'm nervous about the MC because I don't want to harm myself. Its no food, right? Not even raw. Do you take supplements with it? Where do you get the salt water flush and smooth tea?

I'm just about to start the cleanse outlined in Junger's book "Clean". It's 2 liquid meals a day (smoothies, juices or soups) plus a lunch of solid foods that you'd find on an elimination diet (non-gluten grains, some organic meats, veggies, fruits, etc)--and you can have a couple of whole food snacks too, like some fruits or nuts.  It's a nutritional cleanse with enough calories and nutrients to be perfectly safe for most people.  I'm gearing up for it now and will probably start it later in the week.
