First cycle of TTC :)

Thread Starter

Hello everybody. My name is Samantha and I'm 22 years old. Me and my partner have just decided to have a child. This is my first cycle since this decision.

I started my period on January 16th and ended the 20th but now on the 22nd I swear I'm ovulating. My cervix is soft, kind of low,and I would say the fluid was like eggwhites(kind of runny). My vagina is pretty wet almost to the point of wearing a panty liner.

I have been learning about this stuff for a long time so I know a thing or two. I just want to know how common it is to ovulate at this time. I have a 29-31 day cycle. I also have a cousin who became pregnant on her period.

Thank you :)

You might be ovulating soon, but that doesn't mean you'll ovulate today.  I, personally, can have fertile fluid for about 4-7 days before ovulating.  If you normally have a 29-31 day cycle you probably ovulate sometime between CD 15-17.  It's really hard to say, unless you're tracking your temperature, exactly when you've ovulated.  Some women do ovulate early in their cycle and some late, like me.  But usually women stick to about the same time each cycle unless you've had stress or some other cause for change.

Welcome.gifHi Sam!  I sometimes have surges before ovulation and like KAS08 said too, I can get fertile fluid for a week before I ovulate.  Do you chart?  Since I have been charting I have pinpointed ovulation and it has been really helpful.  Hope to see you on some other threads too, and hope your stay in TTC is short!
