In the Market for a New Carseat

My son is 8 mo and we are ready to buy him a new seat. What's the most convenient and safe? I want him to rear face for as long as possible, is 35lbs the highest weight limit on RF or are there some with higher? I'm not to worried about space as we have a minivan and one child.

There are other seats that rearface to 40lbs, and one that goes to 45lbs.

What is his height/weight now?  What is your budget?

We have a radian XTSL which (rearfaces to 45lbs), I really like it.  We also had a truefit before this (RF to 35lbs but has a very tall shell), and I loved that one too!   The myRide and complete air are also good ones that RF to 40lbs (my ride has a shorter shell, so good for shorter/heavier kids, complete air has a very tall shell, but I feel that the shoulder straps are too close together for my 25lb ds)

There are seats that go to 40 or 45lbs.  What van do you drive?
