Should I Tandem nurse?

I just found out this weekend that I'm pregnant with number 2. And while we are excited my main concern is for my DS who is almost 15 months. I had planned on weaning him by the time he was 2 but the new baby will be here before that so I'm wondering how I can still manage that if he's still not ready to give it up by then. We co-sleep and I mostly use nursing for getting him to sleep and if he wakes up getting him back to sleep. He has already started to loose interest during the day as well. I guess it would help to hear some stories of how anyone else handled similar situations. TIA!

it's not a descision you have to make right this second. if nursing is still working for both of you, and he doesn't seem ready to wean yet, then there's no reason to jump into weaning. and he may wean himself once your milk changes or your supply dips.

me, personally, I always had a goal of nursing until at least age two, and I'm leaning toward CLW. DD is 20 months, and I'm 33 weeks pregnant, and she has continued to nurse quite a bit, even though she's only getting colostrum. she's really not ready to wean, and I'm not ready for her to wean, so we'll be tandem nursing.
