You're so thoughtful Poetry. Thanks. She's going to write him a letter and take some flowers to the barn. We loved that horse. heartbeat.gif

Love this thread. I look at everyone's lists and it looks like you get so much more done than I do. Maybe if I join I'll get better. Today I roasted 1.5 pumpkins and some seeds, took dd1 to school and dd2 to preschool, searched for some recipes for pumpkin cake (bro's birthday is on TG day) and frosting, a bit of kitchen cleaning, though I never get caught up. Oh yeah, I also did a half hr massage. that really takes over an hour. Hm, sounds like more than it felt like as I did it. I'm already getting better. :)

My evening 10- 15 minute bursts tonight will be filled with

-laundry - fold and put away a load and put the diapers in

-get the kitchen under control

-clean the kitchen counters

-clean the kitchen floors

hopefully I'll be able to add more as these are completed....famous last words

-make lunch and snacks for DS2 and I who are working tomorrow:)

-clean small bathroom

I will feel really accomplished if I can cross those off lol

Hi Richella. wave.gif Hi Saramum. It's good to see you. We always accomplish more than we give ourselves credit for. winky.gif

Okay, today I'm going to do something bigger. I have a couple boxes in the kitchen that need to be sorted and stored. (mostly camping gear from 3rd weekend September) (some stuff from halloween) The cooking binge tomorrow would be much more pleasant if I don't have to walk around those. Getting on that right now.

thanks for the welcome, bejeweled!

bejeweled- Im so sorry about your daugther's house. Its hard to lose an animal you love.

I haven't been doing much.. I caught the stomach flu from one of the children in nursery at church.. Yea, I wish people would understand they can't bring their children in sick. It happens almost every month and its usually the same 3 offenders over and over again. If I didn't love these children so much I would stop volunteering in there. They are lucky they are so cute

Today I need to:

pick up the disaster I call my house lol.gif

do laundry- load in washer, load in dryer, 1-2 more to do

clip the doggie's nails

fix my daughter's princess dress

see if I need to bring anything to Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow (my MIL is cooking.. have I mentioned she makes the best turkey orngbiggrin.gif)

Crafting

finish the back of the blasted sweater

start serging the edges and washing the fabric for Christmas presents

find the thread for the cross stitch kit. Its here somewhere redface.gif

Yikes stomach flu, we all had that at the same time last year. It was actually scary when dh and I were too weak to care for the dds!

got my boxes cleared yesterday, and even grabbed some junk from the garage to recycle! But that was about all.

today I had one project, baking, didn't get started till 4:00! But I cleaned a motel room, took some reservations.

Did some arranging in the kitchen

fed everyone 3 times.

walked over to the store for eggs

jumped on the dishwashing train for a while.

Baked a cake, both layers broke coming out of the pan, but I'm going to put them back together like a puzzle, slather on the frosting, and call it done.

Oh yeah, I also packed the TG wine into a wooden box we had received some wine in once, to take over to the ILs tomorrow, was very pleased with myself until the box fell apart and I was just glad I was sitting on the floor when I picked them up. No loss but time.

Wanted to bake a pumpkin pie and maybe a pecan pie. After kids go to bed I might make crust, more likely I'll just clean the kitchen some more, yet more likely I'll sit down and watch Hoarders and go to bed. :)

Hi everyone, haven't been here all this week I think life got in the way of writing lists... I have fallen off the wagon with both cleaning and decluttering, trying to read minimalist blogs to inspire myself again....

B I am sorry to read about the horse...hugs xx

Okimom I hope you are feeling better soon...I assume that 'stomach flu' means the same as we what we call a gastro bug...with vomiting and diarrhoea?

Richella I am sure the cake tasted great even if it was stuck back together... orngtongue.gif

Today so far:

made beds

took DS to ENT specialist appt

allowed DS to persuade me to let him stay home for remainder of day (yes I am too much of a softie)

cleaned fridge door shelves

towels in wash

to do:

dry towels

knit

fold towels

sweep kitchen

fix dinner

Hey I just noticed that Thursday 24th has no chores on the MM list...wonder why that is...probably something really obvious that hasn't occurred to me.  headscratch.gif

didn't you ask the same question last year ? Thanksgiving in the USA .... a non working day !

LOL probably!  Such a dimwit I am....can't believe I didn't think of that! lol.gif  My memory is getting worse it seems....

Actually I thought thanks giving was closer to christmas must admit.... Sheepish.gif

last Thursday in Nov I should think ... I just know because my eldest is celebrating at school ( and we did too last Sunday with a local english language church ...)

sorry, didn't want to make you feel bad about not remembering ....

=> I've felt "whaou, it's been more than a year that I've followed that thread and the others about MM calendar .... and I'm not "there" yet !!!!!!!!"

=> you'll find that Mdc has even less traffic than usual today ....

Clutter- yea, I think we are talking about the same thing. Isn't it interesting how different parts of the world call it different things?

Happy Thanksgiving to all the Americans.. and anyone who wants to celebrate with us by eating turkey and talking about Native Americans. Got to love it :) Its the one of the three times a year (the other two are Christmas and Easter) I can cook a turkey and not feel guilty about eating meat as a main part of the meal.. Im starving today, probably from not eating much the rest of the week and the baby nursing more than ever.

Today I plan to.. do nothing. I might have to go over to my in-laws house and help cook some.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Isafrench yes know what you mean re the length of time on MM and not there yet!  Me either....almost in tears this morning over the state of this place, not in terms of needing cleaning but just battling with decluttering still. shake.gif

There is no talk/mention of thanksgiving here at all....so it quite easy for me to forget about, lol.  orngbiggrin.gif

Today so far:

made one bed

made coffee

sent messages

to do:

make other beds

shop for food

go to gym? ( I really should but the rain is deterring me)

do some decluttering

peel potatoes

sweep kitchen floor

Ok tonight's list of things to tackle

-load of laundry into the machine / take dry load off rack, fold, put away

-organize the front hall closet

-clean small bathroom (which didn't get done the other day)

-vaccum playroom

and I'm off....lol

Clutter- you know how many Americans couldn't tell you why we celebrate Thanksgiving? I think you get a free pass since you don't live around here and the people who do half the time can't tell you why. I got to tell a bunch of Elementary school kids about it once and they all looked at me like they had never heard of that before.

Tomorrow I HAVE TO get cracking on Christmas gifts.. I need to:

Finish the laundry

Serge edges/Wash fabric for gifts

clean up around the apartment

spray in front of the door with Urine-b-gone (I swear if someone doesn't get their cat neutered so he stops spraying the front of my door Im going to scream.. The urine comes in the bottom of the door and stinks the whole house.. Its one thing if Im cleaning up after my pets, totally different when its other people's pets)

take care of the pets-sea monkeys fed

give the dog a bath

Crafting:

Work on the bus sweater

Reindeer sock monkey

3 knot bags

Apron

If time: 6 pine cone ornaments, nativity puppets

Jumping in...because if I try to catch up, it will just hold me back and I won't get anything done.

Hope everyone is well!

I had a whirlwind of an October, and apparently November, too...since its just about over and I'm just realizing it even IS November!

So, promising myself I will not add anything to my calendar until after the New Year. Obviously, stuff will come up, but I'm not adding anything to my schedule. Hope that will help keep things a little more calm than the last two months. Only two mommas due before Christmas, that should help, too...

I need to do everything! My house is just a jumbled mess...

Today:

 - fridge cleaned out

 - lights up

 - buff dvd's

 - dinner at my parents

 - get tree

This weeks list:

 - sort and organize desk

 - bedrooms cleaned up

 - closet organized

Then clean:

 - windows and blinds

 - furniture wiped down

 - floors mopped

 - kitchen cabinets and drawers wiped out

 - bathroom scrubbed

 - all bedding washed
