wave.gif Hello! It's always good to take it easy once in a while. I hope you had a good visit with your dad yesterday!

As for myself, I had several teeth filled this morning and now that the Novocaine has worn off and the Lortab has kicked in, I'm finally sitting down to lunch (soup and couscous, easy to eat!). I've done dishes, swept, picked up the kitchen and living room, did ds1's schoolwork with him, made the beds and tidied the bedrooms, and put a load of laundry in. I still need to wipe down the bathroom, finish the laundry and put it away, vacuum, make a grocery list, and go grocery shopping. For now though I'm going to go sit down with the kids and watch our next "Life" DVD. smile.gif

Have a great day!

Hi dantesmama, I had a great visit with my Dad. I'm just tired now. I don't know why visits take so much out of me. I think it's the preparation, the laughing, the hosting, the talking, etc. I'm beat.

BTW, I love.gif nature videos too. I watch them all the time. So relaxing.

Bejeweled that is lovely that you had such a good time visiting your dad. I really want to visit my father too but he lives in Tasmania so it takes a bit of organisation to visit him! Dantesmama I hope the teeth are better today.  You have reminded me to make appointments for checkups for my kids!

I have been flat out all week, so I have decided to stay at home today and just get stuff done round here, it is starting to look pretty messy after not doing much cleaning this week.

Done:

made coffee

got DS off to school

made beds

to do:

empty dishwasher

clear upstairs kitchen bench

strip DD's sheets off

wash her sheets

load of clothes on to wash

hang out clothes

put away dry clothes off line

dry sheets

replace clean sheets

clean dishwasher doors x 2

vacuum upstairs kitchen

mop upstairs kitchen

vacuum downstairs kitchen

vacuum downstairs entry and hall

mop downstairs kitchen

prepare dinner

stack downstairs dishwasher

clean up kitchen

Bejeweled, glad you had such a good visit! I am always worn out after visits, too. They drain me, no matter how much I love the visitor!

Clutterwarrior, thanks, my teeth are feeling much better today. I am religious about brushing and flossing, but apparently the "bad teeth" genes I have inherited won out. I go back next week for an extraction. crap.gif

Today I plan to:

-keep up with dishes

-sweep & mop

-vacuum

-wash and put away laundry

-recycling out

-wipe down bathroom

-make beds & tidy bedrooms

-wipe down kitchen

-clean sink

-clean microwave

-wipe down walls and baseboards

Have a great day!

Dantesmama, sorry to hear you had more snow, I hope Spring arrives soon for you!  Autumn certainly arrived right on schedule here, with a cool weekend, and although we are expecting some hot days this week, the mornings are definitely cooler.

I am feeling a little fed up today must admit, as DH says we now will have to wait at least a year before starting renovations. I had been so excited about getting the bathrooms fixed up. When he says at least a year, that always means maybe 2 or 3 years.

organise gift for nephew's birthday

nod.gif This is very cool. DD (age 8) decluttered the hall closet shoes all by herself this weekend. And it was hairy. I was so proud of her. She told me, "I don't want to be a hoarder". thumb.gif

Wow, that's great! (lol.gif at the hoarder comment!)  A few days ago my 5yo DS told me that when his birthday comes and he gets new toys, he'll have to put some of his older toys away in the closet or get rid of them so that he won't have too many. I was so proud! luxlove.gif
