Our family is registering for a few gifts for our new baby and I'd love some help deciding on a sleep sack. Â We're going to do a sidecar sleep setup. Â We live in a 4 season climate. Â The baby will be born in April and I figure will be swaddled until May/June at which time she/he will just sleep naked or in light cotton clothing. Â (we don't have AC) Â Come winter next year, however, I was thinking a wool sleep sack would be great. Â
Â
I know some sleep sacks say they are good for 2 years (Link)Â but I wonder if this is such a huge advantage in a 4 season climate and I worry that the baby will just SWIM in it at 6 months? Â I also have heard less about this company (I like the carseat hole feature!). Â I really think the Lana Care (Link) looks nice and I think it would gets us through the first winter. Â Seems kind of expensive for 4 months of use, however. Â
I'd love to hear your experiences with wool sleep sacks, sleep sacks in general and opinions on what we should do. Â I realize this may seem a bit overkill in the preparation department but I was hoping to get a few "splurge" type things for the baby...knowing a few family members are going to splurge anyway...may as well be something we really want for her/him. Â
